Debjany is a Ph.D. student who joined the lab in Summer 2026. Her research interests lie in cybersecurity education, with a particular focus on understanding how students learn and develop secure programming skills. Her current research focuses on investigating novice programmers’ misconceptions about secure programming concepts and how they reason about security when writing code. She is passionate about improving cybersecurity education and developing effective approaches to help students build secure programming practices.
Outside of research, Debjany enjoys watching sitcoms, traveling to beaches, and learning to rock climb.
