Dr. McFadden is one of our first Ph.D. graduates from the CEREAL Lab completing her Ph.D. in Spring 2024. Dr. McFadden joined the lab in Spring 2023 with a background in Computer Science from Spelman College. Dr. McFadden wrote her dissertation, “A Rubric for Addressing Systems of Oppression in AI Ethics Research” under the direction of her Committee: Dr. Veroncia Cateté, Dr. Kanton Reynolds, Dr. Tiffany Barnes, and Dr. Thomas Price. She starts her post-doctorate career in a study abroad program teaching engineering to secondary students in Rwanda.
